Colorado’s Governor Polis Proposes Funding for Kindergarten

I remember back in the day when my four kids were young and how expensive everything was even for public school. Especially when I became a single mom and life seemed so difficult at times to keep up with.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis summited a budget proposal to have government-funded full-day kindergarten this fall.

I personally believe that this is a fantastic idea. Paying for full-day kindergarten was so difficult for me but I desperately needed it. Needing to work and not being able to afford childcare put me in a pickle more times than not.

However, I do understand why many would want to rebut the plan and where the money would be coming from.

Governor Polis's detailed request will be interesting to watch as he is requesting nearly $26 million to execute his kindergarten plan and is stating this is of the utmost importance.
