Being a good samaritan should be an everyday thing. But sometimes you are just to busy to stop.

March 13th is  National Good Samaritan Day. This one day is meant for everyone to go out and help those in need. If you know someone who is struggling with something this is the day to put everything down and help.

This day is in honor of Catherine Genovese who on March 13, 1964, was murdered near her home. If one good Samaritan would have just stopped the outcome could have been different. The person was interrupted but nobody actually stopped to help.

I try to be a good samaritan whenever someone needs help. It could be as little as getting someone something to drink because they are thirsty. I try and do for others because I know if I was in need of help I would want somebody to help me.

Remember to take time out of your day on March 13th to help those that are in need. Whether it be a family member or someone you may not even know.

Be that good Samaritan towards someone. You could be the helpful hand that changes somebody's life forever with that one gesture.
