Let’s Change Grand Junction’s Name While We’re at It

Some residents are a little disenchanted with the Grand Junction City Council's decision to change North Avenue's name to University Boulevard. Why stop there? If we're going to get our panties in a bunch over the changing of a street name, let's go for broke. Why don't we change the name of the town while we're at it?

Grand Junction has something of a "small town" ring to it. The name was great back in the 70s when I was little. We're a major hub now, and maybe it's time we adapt. Here are a few of my suggestions.
