On Saturday morning, the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of an alarm at Grand Junction High School. The GJPD found no criminal activity but did find some of the Grand Junction High School football team. The officers ended up lifting weights with the students.

It turned into a friendly weight lifting competition and according to the Grand Junction Police Department's Facebook:

Officer Edminston took home the victory with a 405 back squat.

They thanked the members of the Grand Junction High School football team on their Facebook for 'opening their weight room and helping our officers to work off the morning doughnuts.'

It's nice to see our law enforcement take the time to build bonds with our community and have some fun too. And let's all be honest, that 405 back squat is super impressive. I don't know what this officer's training entailed but it's working.
