School District 51 released the following information regarding the schools affected by the gas explosion that happened near 7th and Orchard Streets on Tuesday afternoon:

This week's Friday Night Lights game was a in valley rivalry as the Grand Junction Tigers were hosting the Fruita Monument Wildcats for the Tiger's Homecoming game. The Tigers were the favorites in this game, but the Wildcats were not listening to any of that. The Wildcats had a 93 yard Kick-off return for the second time this season and were in control after that to get their first conference win
