You can visit the old jail year-round Friday through Monday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Visits run $5 for those 11 and older. Kids ten and under get in free.

The Outlaws and Lawmen Jail Museum can be found roughly 280 miles from Grand Junction. If the universe allows it, you can simply travel I-70 to Silverthorne, and then head south on Highway 9 through Breckenridge to Fairplay and then to Cripple Creek. You can also take Highway 24 at Minturn, but you'll pick up a few extra miles. If life continues to unfold the way it has the last few months, you may choose to take Highway 50 to Gunnison, Salida, and then Cripple Creek.
