Western Slope Distillery + Brewery Team Up to Create Brewstillery
A Western Slope distillery and brewery have teamed up to create a brewstillery. Their drinks will be combined at Boulder's first-ever brewstillery -- looks like their relationship is getting pretty serious.
Peach Street Distillers was founded in 2005 and Ska Brewing was founded in 1995. They both make delicious drinks that I, along with the rest of Colorado, love to enjoy.
Peach Street Distillers and Ska Brewing have been working together for the past 15 years. According to a press release, they've created Modus Whiskey, the Boomerang Barrel Program and more. Now the distillery and brewery are taking their relationship to the next level -- they're moving in together.
The distillery and brewery are moving in together and creating Boulder's first-ever brewstillery. Ska Street will have onsite brewing with 10 barrel brewhouse and distillation of spirits in a 450 liter still, according to a press release. There will be 30 different Ska beers ready to drink. This combines both drinks from both places, but that's not it.
The brewstillery will serve food too that's inspired by the Caribbean-influenced food at Ska and the local farm-to-table food from Peach Street.
According to Ska's CFO, Steve Breezley:
So many of us at Ska feel attached to the Boulder community -- it's active like our homei n Durango, and it's an epicenter for craft beer.
One of the co-founders of both Ska Brewing and Peach Street Distillers says that they're excited to get back to the Front Range and get involved in Boulder and start collaborating.
