I have had several friends and a few family members move to Denver recently, their reasoning being there are more opportunities in a larger city.

I like to think I've learned a few things in the past nine months that I've lived in Grand Junction. A few months wiser, here's what I've learned so far.

Grand Junction has received a B+ on the website Niche.com. Grand Junction is also ranked #153 in best places to live in Colorado.

When you live in a place as beautiful as we do, it's gonna cost you. If you've bought or rented a home recently, you know this is true. However, there are some towns in our area that are cheaper than others. That's why we decided to find out what town on the Western Slope is more affordable than others.

For those of us who work for minimum wage and was hoping for a raise, it has been put on hold, again. The attempt to raise the wage in the state of Colorado has failed in the state Legislature.
