Roll Your Own in Colorado, Then Let New Mexico Roll One for You
Colorado is completely surrounded by states where recreational marijuana is illegal. A McDonald's in New Mexico decided to have some fun with people crossing the border.
The comical billboard, north of Raton, New Mexico, is perfectly placed for drivers heading south on Interstate 25 from Colorado.
Raton, is approximately 10 miles south of the Colorado border and about 20 miles from Trinidad, where consumers have numerous places to purchase marijuana legally.
McDonald's figured out enough of Raton's residents and those from nearby towns are likely heading from Colorado back to New Mexico with the munchies. So, why not offer to satisfy those cravings as they cross the state line?
