An argument between two men escalated to a stabbing on Sunday in Palisade. The argument ended with one man being arrested and the other in the hospital.

Two men were arguing on G 7/10th Road in Palisade on Sunday night when things escalated, according to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office. The argument escalated into a stabbing, which ended with one man being arrested and the other in the hospital.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, they responded to this report of a stabbing near Davis Circle and G 7/10th Road in Palisade at about 10 p.m. on Sunday night. When they arrived they found two men, one of which was a 34-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, according to the MCSO.

The other man, 27-year-old Wesley Odneal, was arrested. He is now at the Mesa County Detention facility and according to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Wesley Odenal is now facing a felony -- assault in the first degree with intent to cause serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon.

We're not sure what these two people were arguing about or how it escalated. Thankfully, the stabbing victim is expected to survive and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office was able to come and stop the situation from getting even worse.

Unfortunately, this isn't the only stabbing incident that has happened recently. On June 22, a woman was stabbed at an apartment complex off of Orchard Avenue.
