Looks Like Some Of Our Favorite Cereals Will Be Going Away
Do you eat breakfast? If you do, do you eat cereal for breakfast? If you answered no, you are not alone.
Maybe I am old fashioned, but I like cereal. According to a report from New York Times apparently I am a part of a dying breed.
Millennials are not eating breakfast anymore, and it is actually causing a downturn in sales of cereal. I don't know about you, but I was raised sitting down at the table, and playing the games and reading the box of cereal. Back in my day, some of the cereals had prizes in it, so if we got to the bottom of the box...surprise!
The way that the world has changed over time, it seems that kids are moving too fast to want or have cereal. Most just grab something on the go, like a yogurt or something in a bar form.
There has been a major turn of commercials pushing organic, and healthy alternatives for people on the move. This is leaving certain cereals in the dust.
It is a very high possibility that "Tony The Tiger", The "Trix Bunny" heck even "Lucky Charms" and others will simply become a thing of the past. Perhaps we should create a cereal museum so we can at least remember some of the great advertising that kept us at the table back in the day. So sad.
