There are some great hiking trails in the Grand Junction area, and they all are beautiful in their own ways. However, I know that not everyone has the time, or the physical ability to experience these trails. No worries, I'm here for you!

Today, I hiked Independence Trail, in the Redlands area of Grand Junction, Colorado. I strapped the studio GoPro to myself and took a nice little time lapse video, so you can experience the entire trail!

Here's a little info on the trail, thanks to the Summit Post:

Independence Monument is a free standing tower of soft, red sandstone, the signature formation of the Colorado National Monument. It soars 450 feet above the floor of the monument canyon. Colorado National Monument is a relatively small area of eroded red rock formations and canyons just south of the Colorado River, near Grand Junction. Independence Monument may be the most frequently publicized summit in state of Colorado, following the Maroon Bells and Pikes Peak.

I'll be capturing more of these videos of all of the great trails in Grand Junction and surrounding areas! Keep checking in!
