The City of Grand Junction has many different projects that will be causing a few headaches and slowdowns and re-routes to your daily routine. I figured if you knew about them, it would not only lower your stress, but it would give you time to make alternate route plans for your activities, plus it is always important to keep our city workers safe.

If you travel around the area of 12th Street between Patterson Road up to about Midway Avenue you can expect a complete shutdown of the road tonight. The road should be repaired and back open tomorrow morning.  Also, along Patterson, there will be patching of holes with asphalt. So be ready to be sent down a different road.

If you travel 4th Street, expect it to be closed between Orchard and Walnut Ave. Cedar Ave will be closed as well.

Another highly traveled area that may cause you some delays is with all the road construction that is happening around the CMU campus. Expect lanes to drop to one, and delays are expected during heavy traveled times.

If you live anywhere in the area of 1st Street to 7th Street, there is going to be multiple projects that are to improve the roads.

Yes, there are a ton of projects going on to improve our roads and keep Grand Junction flowing smoothly! Keep an eye out for signs, and especially people who are out working. Take your time, plan your route and keep speeds down in construction zones.
