Grand Junction Man Drives Off Bridge And Nearly Misses River

Thursday, a man drove off of a bridge, coming very close to the Colorado River. 

According to KKCO, it happened in the area of Broadway near West Avenue.

The Firebird ran off the bridge, went several feet down an embankment and ended up on the edge of the Colorado River.

Emergency responders who were called to the scene, checked  the driver, and took him to the hospital for possible injuries, which police said appeared to be minor.
