Is Downtown Grand Junction Still Kid Friendly?

There’s been a lot of unrest in the community since downtown Grand Junction decided to no longer allow children to play in the water feature. So I wanted to know, is Downtown Grand Junction still kid friendly?

The answer is yes!  Shea and I recently did a minor social experiment and just walked around downtown with his children (a few times), to see if they still had fun without the water feature.

They loved the gorillas, the rock climbing area, they played on the sidewalks and seating areas.

They had Gelato, hot chocolate, and when they walked past the water feature Shea's daughter even made the comment about how gross it was that so many kids used to play in it, and then was quickly enthralled by the local art on the corner.

They ended their day at the local candy store.

I don’t have kids of my own, but in my opinion downtown Grand Junction is still a great place to take your children.
