You can get started with a handful of trails on the Grand Mesa near Grand Junction and branch out to other popular areas of the state if you are looking for great ski trails. A few that come to mind close to home include the Grand Mesa Skyway Cross Country Ski Area, West Bench Trail in the Grand Mesa National Forest, County Line Trail inside the Grand Mesa National Forest, and finally Ward Creek Reservoir Winter Loop.
