You were asked what fast food burger joint you would like to see come to Colorado. Your top answer was a bit surprising. What is a Whataburger?

New County 99.1 asked listeners via Facebook which fast food joint needs to open a location in Colorado. Selections included:

The top response from Colorado residents? Whataburger. Okay, I've heard of a Whataburger before. I've never seen one, but I know they exist. Well, that doesn't mean anything, now does it? I've never seen a UFO, but I know they exist.

The reason I've heard of Whataburger has to do with the fact a deceased relative of mine used to work at one. We weren't familiar with it, and weren't quite sure what he was saying, so we thought he worked at "Waterburger."

Well, as it turns out, Whataburger doesn't operate a restaurant anywhere within the state of Colorado. The chain was launched in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas, and now operates over 800 stores.

Personally, I think the Whataburger logo looks a lot like Wonder Woman's brazier or "whatever" that thing is she wears.

Looking at the menu, it appears as though Whataburger offers the same selection as most any other burger joint. One Dallas location features eight different burgers, the crown jewel of the bunch appearing to be the Triple Meat Whataburger. After that, it's pretty much fries, onion rings, and the usual selection of hot apple pies and such.

There you go, Colorado. It seems you want a Whataburger. There's no evidence suggesting we're going to get one, though.
