Learn to Ski Month Offers Beginners Great Ways to Try the Sport
January is Learn to Ski Month and Colorado resorts have plenty of ways to help people of all ages, who want to try skiing or snowboarding, learn what it is all about.
Several resorts have put together packages that include the lessons, gear and lift ticket just for those who want to try skiing or snowboarding.
Whether you've never been on the slopes, it has been so long that you don't remember how, or your a skier who wants to learn to snowboard or a snowboarder who wants to learn to ski, this is the month to do it.
Here's a list of some of the Colorado ski areas with Learn to Ski Month options.
Beginner lessons include the gear and lift ticket and there are multiple programs available for kids and adults plus special multi-day lesson packages.
Children and teens can choose from one to up to five days of lunch and beginner lessons. Adult Beginner Adventure lessons booked in advance are $162 and kids start at $157.50.
Beginning skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of the Learn to Shine program which offers three days of 2 hour lessons, equipment rental, and lift ticket for $395. Once lessons are completed, participants will get a lift ticket good for five additional days of skiing or boarding.
Starting with the Cubs on Skis which can teach toddlers to ski before they're potty trained to the Beginner's Magic adult lessons there are beginner lessons for almost every age. Advance prices average $224-$234 per day.
For Learn to Ski Month, Purgatory is offering a free two hour beginner lesson with the purchase of a full-day lift ticket. Beginners wanting more lesson time can take advantage of the One, Two, Free package.
For Learn to Ski Month, the resort is offering lessons, gear and lift ticket for adults $125 and children $100 per day.
The ski school offers beginner lessons for children as young as 3-years-old and adults of all ages, too. Single day and multi-day small group lessons are available for Learn to Ski Month from $210 and up.
For the month, beginners can get the lowest price guarantee with single day lessons starting at $199 for youngsters. In addition to adult lessons, the resort offers programs just for women.
Learn to Ski packages start a $179 per day through the Kids Vacation Center. Adults can sign up for the Two Day Learn to Ski for $250 or the Never Ever Three day package for $399 which guarantees you will learn to ski or ride beginner runs or get additional lessons free until you do.
