You Can Be a Guitar God in 2020 With This Western Colorado Group
They get the chicks. They're always the most popular person in the room. Now, you can be one, too. You can be a part of the group with this Western Colorado guitar ensemble.
Do you have any interest in taking up the guitar? Perhaps you play already. In either case, you're invited to join a fascinating ensemble right here in Western Colorado. It's free, and it's open to anyone who wants to participate. The Western Colorado Guitar Society has a place for you.
I spotted this sign at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grand Junction. I was there performing a concert with, you guessed it, a guitar player.
Please note: it says "Guitar Orchestra," not Rock band. My good buddy Javier De Los Santos oversees the group. If you're not familiar with Javier, he has been the overall champion for several years now in the Colorado Classical Guitar Society competition in Denver. Put simply, he's pretty darn good. He offers this free class for aspiring guitarists.
As you can see, the sign says "Everyone Is Welcome." That means you. Have you wanted to take up the guitar? Would you enjoy learning in a no-pressure environments with other enthusiasts who are in the exact same boat as you? This is your chance.
I play bass in several organizations, and am giving serious thought to joining this group. I have very little experience on guitar, and find the instrument very challenging. An organization such as this would be the perfect place to get started.
Kick off 2020 by making that dream a reality. Get the chicks. Be a hit at parties. You can earn serious dollars. Okay, that last part about "serious dollars" is a lie. Nevertheless, this is your chance.
The guitar ensemble meets once a month at the Moss Performing Arts Center at Colorado Mesa University. For more information, call 970-778-6116.
