Paramount's series, Yellowstone, has a Northern Colorado connection. That connection you see on the screen is through the hats worn by John and Kaycee Dutton. Of course, we can't forget Rip Wheeler.

Trent Johnson, the owner of Greeley Hat Works, is no stranger to celebrity hats. Johnson started as an apprentice with Susie Orr and, three years later, he purchased the shop and transformed the renowned hat shop into what it is today. Johnson has made hats for presidents, former Denver Broncos players, country artists and filmsets.

How did the hats from Greeley Hat Works end up on the set of Yellowstone?

It all started more than a decade ago when Johnson made a hat for Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone. According to the Fence Post, Johnson flew out to Park City, Utah to the set of Wind River. After a few days, Johnson was back at Greeley Hat Works making a custom hat for Jeremy Renner.

Trent Johnson's Greeley Hat Works created custom hats for each character. Distressing the hats to make them look used, worn and authentic. The next time you watch Yellowstone, take a close look at the hats. When you see them, you can feel the connection to Northern Colorado through Greeley Hat Works located at 2613 Eighth Ave.

Greeley Hat Works has also made numerous custom hats for Miss Rodeo America Pageant, Deadwood and more.
