Winter Storm Xylia: Larimer County Had Highest Snow Totals in Colorado
As the Fort Collins area digs out of about two feet of snow on Monday morning, know that out the entire state of Colorado, Larimer County measured the highest snow totals after Winter Storm Xylia (we win).
According to the National Weather Service, the highest snow total for the weekend was 42 inches, which was measured at Buckhorn Mountain, west of Fort Collins in Larimer County.
Close behind was Pingree Park with 41 inches and Red Feather Lakes, 40 inches, also in Larimer County.
The only other areas of Colorado to measure that much snow are in the Aspen Springs area. The Horsetooth area measured 27 inches of snow, while in the cities of Fort Collins and Loveland, the totals ranged from one and a half to two feet.

The National Weather Service reports that Winter Storm Xylia has passed, and while there is a chance of light snow in the forecast for Tuesday, if it does snow, less than an inch of accumulation is expected.
On Wednesday, things will start to warm up, and hopefully melt the snow enough that we can get our cars out without too much effort. High temps are expected to reach the 50s by the end of this week and into the weekend.
