Here’s Why Tipping Should Be Banned [VIDEO]

You have to tip. But Adam from College Humor is here to tell you why you shouldn’t have to. Caution: language is NSFW!

For some reason, it seems that tipping is a touchy subject. I see a lot of debates on social media about tipping, how much to top or how much not to, etc. Plus, you always see stories online of someone tipping nothing and leaving a note or tipping way more than necessary.

This is from College Humor so it's supposed to be on the funnier side but this is actually a really great video. I completely agree with all of it. It seems odd waiters (and some bartenders, I think) make less than $3 an hour and we have to supply the rest. Which I don't mind tipping, I always at least tip 20% but sometimes more or less depending on the service.

The one thing I would "worry" about if the service industry had a higher, steady wage... is that the service might be bad. Maybe some people wouldn't work as hard since they know how much they're going to make already but who knows. Would you be for or against banning tipping?
