District 51 states that 'the health and safety of our students, staff, and families' is their top priority. District 51 will monitor the situation and make changes to their plan as needed. District 51 students will return to in-person learning five days a week, according to their website.

Students will be placed in groups to reduce contacts, in the event of a case of COVID-19, according to District 51's website. All students in the 6-12 grades are required to wear a face mask, and if they're unable to due to health issues, the administration should be contacted.

All-District 51 students will have daily symptom screenings which will either be conducted by a parent or the student. There will be no field trips, and limited classroom/school volunteers or visitors. There will be lots of handwashing this school year and playground equipment and other surfaces will be cleaned daily. There will also be 'enhanced cleaning and disinfecting' of school buses, according to D51's website.

There is also an online learning option for all District 51 students. D51's Safe School Reopening Plan changes slightly from elementary school to middle school to high school. You find District 51's full reopening plan here.
