What is the Proper Way to Kiss at a Wedding Ceremony?

My Wife Courtney and I are getting married in about 2 weeks and recently we have discussed how we should kiss. There is obviously going to be a lot of family present and we don't want to offend anyone. Then again, this is our wedding, and we should be able to kiss however we want. So my question is: What is the proper way to kiss at a wedding ceremony?

Is there even a set way to kiss at a ceremony or is it the choice of the bride and groom? Let's break down the different ways to kiss.

Just a Peck

My wife and I are definitly not prudes, so I think this wouldn't work for us. But for others this might work. A quick 2 second peck would be appropriate for a church wedding or for couples that are trying to be overly traditional. The last thing you want to do is gross out grandma, so some times a simple peck is the easiest way to go.

Lots of Tongue

Once again its the decision of the bride and groom. I think a lot of tongue might make people uncomfortable and may make some of the family members turn away. If you are one of those couples that like to use a lot of togue when you kiss then this may be the way to go. It doesn't matter what others think, they will get over it. For my wife and I, I don't think this is the route we will take.

Little Tongue

A little tongue never hurt anyone. I think this is the route my wife and I will take. Because our family and friends know that we aren't necessarily prudes, but at the same time we don't want to gross out the family and friends by making out in front of them. We decided that a short kiss with a little bit of tongue would be appropriate. It shows that we respect the fact that everyone is watching, but at the same time we are going to show our affection for one another because its OUR wedding.

This is of course all opinion based. Some people think completely differently and like I've been saying, this decision is overall the choice of the bride and groom. What are your thoughts on how to kiss at a wedding ceremony? Comment below or take the poll.
