10. La Plata

I actually had to look this one up, but La Plata County is located in Southwest Colorado and is home to Durango.

9. Larimer

Honestly, I assumed that this one would be higher on the list. Larimer County came in at number nine and is home to the very progressive and active Fort Collins. However, I'd assume that the amount of partying Fort Collins engages in skewed the results.

8. Gilpin

Nestled deep in the Rockies, Gilpin county comes in at number eight. Gilpin is just north of Idaho Springs and is home to the gambling city of Black Hawk.

7. Routt

Another county located in the high country, Routt county came in at 7th place. Routt is another of a bit of an obscure county, but you can immediately picture where it is when you consider that it's home to Steamboat Springs.

6. Summit

The sixth healthiest county in Colorado as of 2019 is Summit county. Summit county may have a high cost of living but is home to the beautiful mountain towns of Frisco, Silverthorn, and Breckenridge.

5. Eagle

Neighboring Eagle county came in at fifth place. Eagle is not only home to its namesake town, but also includes Edwards, Avon, and Vail.

4. Broomfield

Finally, we get into the metro side of Colorado. Broomfield county is located right between Denver and Boulder, and yes, it does include the city of Broomfield.

3. Pitkin

For third place, we venture back into the mountains but this time further west, to Pitkin County. Pitkin is located just south of Glenwood Springs and includes Aspen and Snowmass Villiage.

2. Boulder

Honestly, I assumed that Boulder County would have nabbed the top spot, but perhaps because of all of the crazy hard-partying college students, it instead sits at the number two spot,

And finally, the healthiest county in Colorado as of 2019 is Douglas County. Douglas County is located south of Denver and includes Parker and Castle Rock.
