The first day of spring is one month away, and here are the top 10 things Grand Junction is looking forward to.

Sure, it's been mild winter on the western slope, still, we can't help but turn our thoughts and attention to the glory of spring.

Recently, we asked our listeners what the #1 thing was they are looking forward to this spring. I suppose the answers were fairly typical and predictable. It's all those things we have been without for what seems like an awfully long time.

Since we are just a month away from spring, it's not too early to start thinking about the things we love in the spring.

There is no doubt this is a huge attraction this time of year. People just seem to be in a better mood when the weather is warmer.

A lot of people love to wear sandals in warm weather, but I'm not one of them. Somehow, I just do not feel comfortable exposing my toes for all the world to see.

The fact is you can hike any time of the year in almost any kind of weather. But, hiking in the spring when it's warm - but not hot - seems to be the ideal time to take a trek.

One of the rules in my life is that I must go on a cruise about every 25 years. I'm due for my next cruise about anytime.
