This Is What the New Saturday Night Looks Like in Old Town Fort Collins
As a longtime resident of Downtown Fort Collins, I go for a lot of walks around the neighborhood, and typically, those are never short of running into a few acquaintances (and they make for all-around good people-watching, especially on the weekends). But, things are a little bit different now in the age of COVID-19.
After feeling cooped up in quarantine, I stepped out for my socially-distant fresh air walk around the block/break from Tiger King, and socially distant it was. Old Town Fort Collins felt like a ghost town, and I will probably be taking all walks before sundown from this point on because it felt so creepy.
No zombie sightings, but the only sign of human life I saw were a couple of Fort Collins police cars and three diesel trucks rolling coal (I guess they are more than six feet apart).
On a positive note, good job to everyone for staying home. We want to see this place full of life and drunks sooner rather than later.
