With the end of the 2010s in less then 48 hours, here's a look at how Colorado music has changed from the beginning of the decade to the end. You'll FREAK when you see where-- just kidding, most of them are still making music.

3OH!3

THEN: In 2010, the duo had already become a household name (well, at least to those of us who had that area code) following the success of 'Don't Trust Me' and a collab with now-superstar Katy Perry.

In 2010, they joined forces with another pop artist, 'Tick Tock' singer Ke$ha, on 'My First Kiss' and 'Blah Blah Blah.'

NOW: While it appears to have been over three years since 3OH!3 put out new music, they're still giving us what we WANT — to do the 'Hellen Keller.' The band did Emo Nite appearances in 2018 (including Fort Collins) and they have shows planned for 2020.

The Fray

THEN: The Denver rock band had a few successful singles under their belts by the beginning of the 2010s. They had just covered Kanye West's 'Heartless,' and released the third single from their self-titled album, 'Syndicate.'

NOW: In 2016, the band put out a 'best of' collection, and they do still perform live, but it's been several years since The Fray have released new music.

Breathe Carolina

THEN: In 2010, Denver duo Breathe Carolina was all over the place, from Warped Tour to late night TV shows to MTV dramas (Yes, I mean The Hills, and I know this because I watched them all, OK?).

NOW: Kyle Even left the group in the mid-2010s, but David Schmitt remains in the band with Tommy Cooperman, and they have a lot of music on YouTube... but it's not quite the same without the screaming, ya know?

OneRepublic

THEN: In 2010, OneRepublic already had a song that topped the Billboard charts for weeks: Timbaland's mix of 'Apologize.' The Colorado-based pop-rock group had another top song in 2010 with 'All the Right Moves,' and was supporting Maroon 5 on tour.

NOW: The band has over a dozen singles and four studio albums. Vocalist Ryan Tedder is a Grammy-winning songwriter, who told People that the band's next record will be out in 2020.

'We tour in the summer, so we do have an actual hard deadline,' Tedder told People. 'I don’t want to get past Memorial Day without an album physically being out.'
