Get out the bug spray and find your citronella candles, it is going to be a buggy spring according to the National Pest Management Association

With spring here, it is time for bugs. The National Pest Management Association is saying that our spring here in the valley will be cooler and wetter than normal. This could make for some buggy situations.

What kind of bugs are we talking about? Since we are in the border of two of the effected  areas, it could vary a bit, but mosquitoes are definitely on the list.

Ants are also on the increased activity list for our area. Did you know that ants will not cross a line of cinnamon? Yep, an old trick my parents taught me.

Ticks will also be on the rise as we dry out moving towards the summer and hotter times of the year.

My advice? Call the bug man or woman you trust, and get yourself ready, and be sure that if your going to be out and about that you always take your repellant with you!
