Temps Reached -44 Degrees in Colorado on Tuesday Morning
Yes, that would be the coldest temperature in the United States. Would anyone else like it now?
No doubt we've had a not-so-mild Colorado winter this far, and it's been a frigid December. On Tuesday morning (Dec. 17), the National Weather Service in Boulder reported that temps dipped well below zero in parts of Colorado.
In the mountain valleys, the National Weather Service tweeted, infrared satellite imagery showed Cowdery, in North Central Colorado was -32 degrees, Waverly in Southern Colorado hit -34, and Antero Reservoir measured -44.
'Brrrr' is an understatement. The warmest place in the country right now? Miles City, Florida: 89 degrees (a 133-degree difference).
