More troubling news for Amanda Bynes today, as E! News reports that her involuntary psychiatric 5150 hold which was initially set at 72 hours beginning last Friday, Oct. 10, has been extended to a full two weeks beginning today, Oct. 13.
On the heels of Amanda Bynes' lawyer's statement clearing up rumors about the starlet's mental health, Bynes' mother Lynne is now speaking out about her daughter's condition, saying she has "no mental illness whatsoever" and that marijuana was the cause of her erratic behavior.
After a troubled year that included bizarre Twitter rants, erratic behavior and multiple DUIs, Amanda Bynes seems to be doing well since her December 2013 release from a four-month stay at a psychiatric ward.
Amanda Bynes' parents went to court today, trying to prove to a judge that their daughter was a danger to herself and others and should therefore be placed under a conservatorship.
But alas, their request was denied. At least for the time being.
