Although not all of these statues are practicing social distancing, at least they've got a mask on to protect themselves. In downtown Grand Junction you can see a statue of Dalton Trumbo in his bathtub while writing, with a mask on. There are two children playing with a hose and a dog, and they're both wearing masks.

Everyone's daily lives have changed because of the coronavirus pandemic and apparently, these statues are feeling the effects too.

We're not sure if these masks were placed on these statues as a joke, or as a reflection of reality, maybe it's both. It's a darkly comedic way to help lighten the mood here in Grand Junction. If you know who placed these masks, tag them in the comments and we'll get in touch with them.
