The mountains are turning white, thanks to a Winter Storm that will continue throughout today. I had an opportunity to speak with Megan at the Grand Junction National Weather Service to see exactly how much snow has fallen.

A strong cold front is bringing heavy snow to a good portion of the Western Slope.

Megan at the Grand Junction National Weather Service, the snow totals are as follows: (as of 6am today)

Coal Bank Pass- 8 Inches

Grand Mesa-1.5 inches

Monument (Hwy 550)- 7 inches

Red Mountain Pass- 7 inches

Molas Pass- 7 inches

The Northwest and Southwest San Juan Mountains are expected to see between 6 inches and a foot of new additional snow today as the storm pushes through. This would bring the total on the San Juans to 15 to 20 inches of total snow.
