Rocky Mountain National Park Fees Could Triple During Peak [Opinion]
If you live in Colorado then you definitely love the outdoors. But these National Forests don't take care of themselves.
That is why the National Park Services have proposed to triple the entrance fees for all entries for peak season. That would put one private vehicle at $70 up from $20. Now if you are getting a season pass those prices will be staying the same.
I for one am all for the proposed spike in entry fees. These National Parks need a lot of care and attention. This is the best way to do it. Even with the rise in fees, I don't think that you are going to see a drop in attendance.
All of the road, restrooms, stop off points need a lot of work that they just can't afford. This is one sure fire way to get the finances to complete the updates that the parks desperately need.
