Rifle Restaurant Reopens Without Government Permission
This is the second time in just a few days that we have heard of a Colorado restaurant reopening their doors without having permission from our government. This time is it Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado.
Shooters Grill in Rifle is known for its armed waitresses and homecooked food. So, it's not exactly shocking to see the owners and customers not wanting to wait for the government to say it's okay to reopen to the public.
Congressional candidate Lauren Boebert is the owner of Shooters Grill and in a video posted to Twitter explains how she reached out to City Health Officials, the City of Rifle, County Commissioners, and after getting nowhere trying to find answers that's when Lauren decided to take action. She has opened her doors and serving customers again.
She believes that if Salons or big-box stores can be open there is no reason that her restaurant should be closed. Lauren wholeheartedly believes that all restaurants should be opened back up to 100%.
Lauren is now running for congress because she doesn't believe her government is standing up for her or the citizens they represent.
There have been lots of people that have supported Lauren and her beliefs online and lots of customers are stopping by her restaurant. It will be interesting to see how Governor Polis responds to this after shutting down one restaurant for not practicing social distancing guidelines on Mother's Day in Colorado.
