‘Red-Kettle-Kickoff’ Marks Start Of Fundraising Season

The Red Kettle Kick-Off marks the beginning of the festive fundraising here in Grand Junction for the holiday season.

This weekend over 100 people gathered to hear music, and learn all about the Salvation Army’s fundraising efforts that start with bell ringing this coming Friday.

KKCO reports that the Army Director of Public Relations Claudia Jackson stated:

"The money stays here in mesa county, and it helps those in need in Mesa County, so its raised in mesa county stays in Mesa County, whether it’s the red kettles, the food drive, or the toy drive, it benefits those in need in Mesa County"

The Salvation Army’s annual toy drive kicks off a bit later in the month. This will help families who do not have gifts for kids, supply joy this holiday season.
