Pilot Killed in New Mexico Plane Crash Was Littleton Resident
The pilot killed in the New Mexico crash late last month, September, was identified.
Nicholas Peterson was 29 and a Littleton resident. He disappeared after take-off from the Santa Fe Airport in New Mexico on September 26, according to New Mexico State Police (NMSP).
The passenger Peterson carried with him still has not been identified.
After a search and rescue mission, the plane was found in the Pecos Wilderness on September 30 by NMSP and an NM Search and Rescue ground team.
According to 9news, the cause of the crash remains under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
