Picnic Alert: Popular Baked Beans Recalled
Baked beans, a popular Colorado picnic staple is being recalled.
Bush Brothers and Company, the makers of Bush's Baked Beans announced a voluntary recall affecting some of their baked bean varieties.
The company says on its website the recall affects Bush's Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans, Country Style Baked Beans, and Original Baked Beans.
The problem apparently is in the packaging. Bush's says there may be defective seams in the cans that could pose a health hazard, however, there have been no reports so far of any illness related to the defective cans.
The specific lots of beans affected by the recall are below.

- BUSH’S® BEST ORIGINAL BAKED BEANS Voluntary Recall – 28 ounce with UPC of 0 39400; 01614 4 and Lot Codes 6057S LC and 6057P LC with the Best By date of Jun 2019
The beans may not look or smell spoiled but you are advised not to eat them if the can of beans in your pantry matches the lot codes listed.
