If you've ever thought something tasted like rubber, here's a case where you may be right.

Mountain House is recalling one of their breakfast products sold at outdoor stores and online due to foreign matter contamination.

The product being recalled is the 3.88-ounce pouch of Mountain House Freeze Dried Spicy Breakfast Hash. Mountain House products are sold at outdoor stores including Cabela's, REI, and online.

The beef hash was produced on December 22, 2016, and has EST. 1394 inside the USDA inspection label, pouch code 3253174, and best by date of Dec. 2046.

The problem was discovered when a Mountain House employee reported finding pieces of rubber in the product.

There have been no reports of injury or illness associated with eating the breakfast hash, but the USDA urges people who have the product not to consume it.

They also say if a person who has eaten the product has a health concern, they should consult their healthcare provider.

Purchasers can throw out the breakfast hash or return it to the place of purchase.
