So it dawned on me recently, that the outdoor coverage in this area...well, it sucks. I love hiking, and I wanted to take my Siberian Husky, "Mishka" hiking with me. So I thought I would just check with my best friend, "Google", to find a dog-friendly hike in the Grand Junction, area.

Sadly, there were no results that meant anything to me. Nothing. So, I have set myself on a mission to bring the people of Grand Junction, Colorado what they deserve, actual coverage of the immense outdoor scene we have here.

This hike is titled "The Micah Mines" and it's off Little Park Road, up in Bangs Canyon. The drive alone boasts the beauty and danger of the area we live in. The hike is moderately challenging, and it displays some of the most beautiful sceneries in the area. The best part is, it's dog-friendly!!

To get to the trailhead, head to the edge of the Redlands, turn onto monument road, then hook a left onto D road. Follow that until you can turn onto little park road. It's a bit of a drive up to Bangs Canyon, and then park at the Tabagauch parking lot. You'll love this hike, and your dog will love it more!
