Mesa County is Giving $956,285 to Small Businesses

Mesa County is giving $956,285 to small businesses that have been affected by COVID-19. Local businesses can apply for a one-time relief payment of up to $7,000.
According to Denver 7, Mesa County has received $956,285 from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for local businesses. Small businesses impacted by COVID-19 are now able to get some financial assistance through the Small Business Relief Program.
The funds from the Small Business Relief Program are a part of Mesa County's emergency response and recovery strategy during the coronavirus pandemic, according to Denver 7.
Small businesses can apply to receive a one-time relief payment. Relief payments can range from $3.500 to $7,000 based on the income of the business:
- Up to $3,500 for businesses with less than $500,000 in revenue (2019)
- Up to $5,000 for businesses with revenue between $500,000-$1 million (2019)
- Up to $7,000 for businesses with revenue between $1-$2.5 million (2019)
According to Denver 7, any Mesa County business impacted by the coronavirus pandemic can apply, including restaurants to wineries to gyms. Small businesses can apply now through 4:59 p.m. on Thursday, February 4 here.
Award notifications will be sent to businesses starting February 1 and funds will be distributed starting on February 12. So many businesses have been affected by COVID-19 and it's great to see local businesses getting the assistance they need and deserve.
