The Senior Care Day at the Mesa County Library is a great event for seniors, but don't let the name fool you. This event is for anyone who knows a senior, too.

The daylong event while geared towards seniors is actually designed for anyone who knows, are related to, or give care to older residents.

The library will be filled with information about Grand Junction organizations that can help seniors, their friends, and families know what resources are available including medical, legal, independent living, and social issues facing seniors.

The event will also showcase recreation, fine arts, and educational opportunities available from the library and other organizations.

There will also be presentations throughout the day giving more in-depth information about the numerous, and sometimes little known, resources available.

Senior Care Day at the Mesa County Library is open to the public and is free of charge. The event is being held at the Central Library on Saturday, January 14 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. People are encouraged to drop in any time during the event.

For those interested in attending one or more of the presentations, visit the Mesa County Libraries website for a list of presentations and times.
