Grand Junction's Mesa Mall is getting another new store.

The national chain retailer HomeGoods will be moving into the former Sports Authority space in 2020. HomeGoods is an American chain of discount home furnishing stores with hundreds of locations across the country. The chain is owned by TJX Companies, a sister company to TJ MAXX.

HomeGoods features a variety of products including furniture, lighting, rugs, bedding, home accents, storage, dining, wall decor, kitchen essentials, and more. A grand opening date for the new HomeGoods store has not yet been announced.

Other changes to Mesa Mall have also been announced including a newly constructed Dillard's, filling the former Sears space at the mall. Another national retailer will be moving into the former Herberger's location, and that announcement will be forthcoming.

Things are definitely hopping at Mesa Mall with several additions in the past year including El Asadero, Sola Salon, The Kids Closet, Torrid, and Pump It Up Jump Zone

People were wondering what was going to happen to Mesa Mall when Sports Authority, Herberger's, and Sears left, but every indication is the mall is going to be just fine in spite of those losses. The new stores are exciting additions to Mesa Mall, which is clearly continuing to thrive in Grand Junction. That is great news for Grand Valley shoppers.
