Schedule of Events For Grand Junction’s Grand Valley Bike Month
Considering the popularity of biking in the Grand Valley, it's only right that we have an entire month dedicated to this popular western Colorado activity.
Grand Valley Bike Month Features Special Events and Rides
May is Grand Valley Bike Month, featuring a number of special events and rides for bikers of all ages and skill levels. It's a great opportunity to connect with other people who have similar interests and make some new friends in Grand Junction and neighboring communities.
The month will include the annual Bike to Work/School Day, the grand opening of the new Wolfpack Bike Park, friendly competitions, special business deals, clinics, a party, and a film fest.
If you are new to biking, this is a great time to "get your feet wet." You can learn where to go with your bike, join up with others, as well as learn how to take care of your machine.
Special Bike Events Prior to Grand Valley Bike Month
Before we get to May, however, there are a couple of special events to be aware of:
April 27 - Helmet Fitting and Safety seminar hosted by Mesa County Public Health.
April 30 - The Grand Valley Bike Swap will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Las Colonias Park. It's a great opportunity to buy or sell used bike gear.
There will also be a couple of Lunch and Learn zoom sessions on April 20 and April 27 to get you ready for Bike Month.
