Grand Junction’s Fast Food Drive Thru’s Are Getting Slower
Your tummy is growling, and you stop into a drive-thru to get some substance to make your hunger go away. You place your order. You wait...and wait...and wait. What is going on?
Drive-thru fast food is getting slower. QSR Magazine shows that of the fast food restaurants surveyed, you will wait for an average of 19 seconds longer.
That may not seem like a long time unless of course you are like me, and pull up when the line is all the way across the parking lot. Carl Howard of Fazoli's says:
Here is a good piece of news, however, the amount of mess up's in the drive-thru have dropped dramatically. This means you do not have to drive back around or go inside to have someone fix your order.
One other tip to get your food faster, plan ahead. Know that during the breakfast rush, you will wait about 3 minutes longer. During your late night snack cravings, you may wait up to 4 and a half minutes longer than you normally would, as there is not as much staff to handle a rush during the late night.
