Grand Junction’s #1 Hairstylists Spills Hair Care Secrets
I finally got my haircut by the best hairstylist (voted by you). She spilled so many hair care secrets, I just had to share them with you.
After cutting my own hair and then getting my haircut in my kitchen, it was nice to step into Wild Rootz Salon and get pampered. I'm very happy with the haircut Grand Junctions number one hairstylist, Megan Holte, gave me.
It's super easy to see why you voted for her as the top stylist around. She was nice enough to share some of her hair care secrets with me, so of course I'll share them with you.
Dry Shampoo and Cleansing Conditioner Are Your Friends
I wasn't really sure what a cleansing conditioner was until this haircut. Think of it like two-in-one, but better. No harshness or dryness, just cleanly conditionedness.
Your Hair Needs Masks Too
If you're like me, you love you some face masks, but what about the hair? Megan said it's good to let your hair soak in some extra moisture before a shower. I like to hydrate my hair with olive oil, just don't do this right before you get your hair dyed. The dye won't stick.
Your Hair Is What You Consume
Megan said that everything you eat and drink will improve or hurt your hair. Got dry hair? Maybe some water and other hydrating liquids and foods could help with that.
Sugar Bear Is Not a Miracle
I know you've seen Sugar Bear Hair all over the place, because I definitely have. She said that don't think this is some kind of miracle. And don't expect your hair to look like extensions.
Supplements Take Time
I'm totally guilty of expecting the opposite. I've took Biotin before and I expected to see results ASAP. Megan said it usually takes at least 30 days to see results when taking supplements.
Protect Yourself
If you use any kind of heat while styling your hair, you have to protect your hair. Megan said to always use heat protectant and to always reapply. This is especially important if you've dyed your hair.
