A Grand Junction elementary school teacher has written a song she hopes will inspire her students while they are away from school during the coronavirus shutdown.

Kalinda Theobold is a music teacher at Pomona Elementary School and, like a lot of people, has no job to go to right now. However, that is not stopping her from connecting with her students from a completely safe social distance.

Miss Theobold wrote a coronavirus parody and created a video on YouTube to share with her students. Her song rings out a very relatable message for kids and grownups alike. We all wish we could be free from the wake of the coronavirus.

Nobody is happy about what the world is going through, but it truly is inspirational to see people in the community making the best of a bad situation and providing encouragement to everyone by making us smile. "Oh, I just can't wait to be free"
