Based on the answers to a recent informal survey, I would not be surprised if more than half the people who live in the Grand Valley were not born here. Out of about 30 people responding, less than five of them expressed they were born in the Grand Valley.

In some ways, it is surprising to me that Grand Junction isn't bigger than it is considering how amazing it is. From the fabulous weather to the gorgeous surroundings and the plethora of outdoor activities we have available to us year-round. Obviously, plenty of people have been drawn to the grand valley for one reason or another. Some of these people, as you will see in the galley below, are thousands of miles from where they were born.

Where Did Everyone Come From?

Whenever I meet people, I'm always curious about where they came from. If they didn't grow up in the Grand Valley I always want to know what brought them to western Colorado. The more people you meet, the more you realize how many folks here are far from their roots.
