Grand Junction Named One of America’s Coolest Desert Towns
A recent article in Travel+Leisure magazine spotlights Grand Junction as one of America's coolest desert towns, and I have to agree.
Sure we have The Colorado Monument, the Bookcliffs, the Grand Mesa and basically year round recreation, and as a newcomer here the beauty astounds me.
I've lived in Alaska, near Yosemite National Park and have seen a lot of the country, yet Grand Junction has a special unique kind of charm to me.
Moab also was talked in the article as well and while I've never experienced it just yet, I will.
I decided to find out what the locals like about the area that a national magazine might not know.
You know, some of those hidden haunts that don't show up on a map, but the locals sure know about.
It could be a restaurant, hotel, hiking trail or a fishing hole on your favorite river. Really, It could be most anything that you love about Grand Junction. Share your opinion in the comments below.
