If you are like me, you have been stuck inside or at work most of the winter. Now that Summer is on and it's time to enjoy some of Grand Junction's swimming holes.

\here are many lakes and swimming holes that are right here in Colorado and close to Grand Junction, and you need not travel far!

Highline Lake - is an amazing lake, with beaches for swimming and tons of family fun! For assistance or information, contact the Visitor Center at 970-858-7208.

Chatfield State Park Reservoir Littleton, Colorado - Permit Required. This lake has amazing swimming, and wonderful camping facilities.5:00 AM - 10:00 PM With 24 Hour Access For Campers. (303) 791-7275

Grand Lake Grand Lake, Colorado - With a beach area, and you can swim anytime! 800-531-1019. Plus you're able to swim almost anywhere in the lake if you prefer to not prefer to hang out on the beach.

Horsetooth Reservoir-Fort Collins, Colorado - at this lake, you must have a permit, and days & hours of operation may vary. Call 970-619-4570 for current hours.

Cherry Creek Reservoir-Aurora, Colorado - Permit Required. This popular park often reaches capacity on summer weekends. Hours of fun are 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM Daily. (303) 690-1166
